Installation of Wifi Home Thermostat
We do not recommend placing the thermostat in the coldest room, as this does not truly reflect the temperature of the rest of the house. You need an average reading to make it work effectively, so placing it in the coldest part of the house will be an extremely low-temperature area to avoid. If the thermostat feels cold, it will think your entire house is also cold. Therefore, it will tell your boiler to work harder, which may increase your heating costs.
For the same reason, thermostats should not be placed in the hottest part of the house. Placing the thermostat in a very warm room will tell the sensor that the house is too hot, so the boiler may turn it down when you don't want it to heat up.
